How to Identify Different Apollo Scooter Models (A comprehensive Guide)

When it comes to electric scooters, Apollo is a well-known brand that offers a range of high-quality products. But how can you identify an Apollo scooter and differentiate between their different versions? Let's dive into the details.

How can you identify an Apollo scooter?

One way to identify an Apollo scooter is by looking at the branding and logo. Apollo scooters typically have the brand name displayed on the stem or on the deck, making it easy to recognize. Additionally, the overall design of an Apollo scooter is sleek and modern, setting it apart from other brands. This distinctive design is characterized by clean lines, high-quality materials, and attention to detail.

Our new models share a similar handlebar design and a common display, which are consistent across different versions. This standardization helps in quickly identifying an Apollo scooter at a glance.

Another key differentiator, although not visible, is the UL certification and the IP rating of our scooters. The UL certification ensures that our scooters meet stringent safety standards, providing peace of mind to our riders. The IP rating, which denotes the scooter's resistance to dust and water, ensures durability and reliability in various weather conditions. These certifications underscore our commitment to quality and safety, making Apollo scooters a trusted choice for riders.

How can you identify a specific model?

If you're an Apollo scooter enthusiast or a new owner, identifying the specific model you have can sometimes be challenging due to the various versions released over the years. This guide will help you differentiate between the different models of Apollo Air, Apollo City, Apollo Go, Apollo Phantom, and Apollo Pro.

Apollo Air

The Apollo Air was first launched in 2021 and has since been updated every year. There exist 6 different variants:

Air (2021): Identified by its 8.5" rear motor, disc brake, and single spring suspension in the front.

Air Pro (2021): Features a 10" rear motor, drum brake in the front wheel, and double front fork suspension.

Air (2022): Button-free throttles for both acceleration and regen braking and an updated folding mechanism that features a latch-based.

Air (2023): Turn signals were added on the handlebar, the throttles were updated to the current proprietary ones with integrated buttons for powering on/off and turn signals. The folding mechanism was updated once again with a more robust hook.

Air (2024): A security strap was added to the folding mechanism, and internal components were also updated. It visually looks very similar to the 2023 model.

City (2022): Completely new design from the 2021 model. Looks very similar to the Pro version and to the Apollo Air. This is how the Apollo Air currently looks like.

City Pro (2022): Dual motors and larger 18Ah battery compared to the regular City’s 13.5Ah battery.

City (2023) & City Pro (2023): Both versions added turn signals to the handlebars and an improved folding mechanism latch. Upgraded 20Ah battery in both single and dual motor versions.

City (2024): Features some minor improvements over the 2023 model, mostly internal components. Only available with dual motors.
Note: Some Apollo City 2024 have been erroneously labelled as 2023. Any Apollo City with a serial number 42022308 or older, is in fact a 2024 version.
