Apollo Phantom Stellar · 60V
YOU USED TO RIDE.THIS IS HOWYOU START AGAIN.
Top speed, Ludo Mode
Dual motors, 7,000W peak, four-piston hydraulics and fully adjustable DNM suspension. The parts of riding you miss, without the fuel, the oil, the chain or the warm-up.
"Insane power, yet incredibly controllable. Built like a tank, but rides like a Rolls."

Read it like a spec sheet
You already knowwhat these numbers mean.
Most people shopping for an electric scooter have to be told why four-piston calipers matter, or what adjustable rebound does. You don't. So here is the whole thing, plainly, with nothing hidden behind a marketing word.
Powertrain
Battery
Chassis
Brakes and electrics
The part that surprises people
No powerband.No waiting.
On a small-displacement engine the pull lives in the top half of the rev range. You ride around that: you keep it on the boil, you drop a gear before you need to go. An electric motor makes close to its full pull from a standstill, so there is no gear to drop and nothing to wait for.
Illustrative of how the two deliver power, not measured data. The Stellar reaches 0 to 15 mph in 2.3 seconds and 0 to 30 mph in about 4.
The practical version: you are already moving before a 125 has finished thinking about it. Pulling out of a junction stops being a calculation, which is the single thing most riders say they notice in the first ten minutes.
Be honest about why
The bike didn'tget boring.
Almost nobody quits because they stopped enjoying the riding. They quit because of everything wrapped around it, and because a twenty minute rip stopped being worth the setup.
-
01
The renewals never stopped arriving
Registration, insurance, inspection, motorcycle endorsement. You pay for all of it whether the bike moved that month or not, and it renews whether you rode or not.
-
02
Service you had to plan your weekend around
Oil, chain, sprockets, pads, coolant, valve clearances, fork oil, the battery that dies if you leave it three weeks. None of it optional, none of it quick.
-
03
Fifteen minutes of setup for a twenty minute ride
Gear on, cold start, warm it through, get it out of the garage. For a proper ride that is nothing. For a run to the shops it is the whole reason the bike stayed parked.
-
04
It had to live somewhere
A bike needs a garage, a cover, a trickle charger and a lock, and you still think about it when you park it somewhere unfamiliar.
-
05
You stopped being able to ride it quietly
Leaving at six in the morning, coming home late, the neighbour who mentions it. Noise turns out to be the thing that quietly limits when you can ride at all.
None of that is about the riding. It is about ownership. The Stellar keeps the first part and removes most of the second, and it does it without handing you a toy to be disappointed by.
The actual swap
What you drop.What carries over.
What you drop
-
×Fuel stops, and watching the pump price
-
×Oil, chain, sprockets, coolant, valve service
-
×Cold starts and warm-up time
-
×Exhaust noise at six in the morning
-
×Needing a garage for it to live in
-
×Most of the annual paperwork, depending on your state
What carries over
-
✓Real throttle control, tunable in the app
-
✓Four-piston hydraulic brakes on 2.3mm rotors
-
✓Adjustable suspension, rebound and preload
-
✓Enough pull to be first away from the lights
-
✓Turn signals, and lighting you can be seen by
-
✓The feeling you actually missed
Licensing, registration and insurance rules for electric scooters are set by your state and city, and the Stellar's top speed sits above what many of them classify as one. Check yours before you buy.

01 · The drivetrain
7,000W, delivered properly.
The MACH 3 controller pushes up to 100 amps into dual 3350W motors, and its sine-wave architecture is the reason that arrives as a shove rather than a snap. Anyone who has ridden a cheap electric knows the difference: power that dumps all at once is easy to build and horrible to use. This one is progressive, which is what makes it rideable at the top of the range.
- Peak output 7,000W
- Discharge Up to 100A
- Max incline 25 degrees

02 · The modes
Four maps, one tap.
Closer to switching engine maps than to a speed limiter. Eco for range, Normal for traffic, Sport for an open road, and Ludo for everything the scooter has. The app tunes throttle curve, acceleration profile and regen sensitivity underneath all four, so you can soften it for the commute and sharpen it for a weekend.
Gear on. Thumb down. Gone.
No warm-up, no choke, no neutral light.

03 · Brakes
Four pistons. Ceramic pads.
Four-piston hydraulic calipers on 2.3mm rotors, which is thicker than Apollo is aware of anywhere else in this class, with ceramic pads for heat. You already know why that matters on a long descent and why two-piston setups go soft. Dual-motor regen does the everyday slowing and claws back up to 10% of your range, which keeps the hydraulics cool for the stop that actually counts.
- Calipers 4-piston hydraulic
- Rotors 2.3mm, ceramic pads
- Regen Both motors, adjustable
04 · Suspension
Rebound and preload. Both adjustable.
125mm of DNM dual-spring hydraulic suspension, set up for stability at speed rather than plushness at walking pace. Adjustable rebound is rare at any price in this category, and it is the reason the chassis settles instead of pogoing when you push it. If you have ever set sag on a bike, you will have this dialled in on the first ride.
- Travel 125mm
- Adjustment Rebound + preload
- Tires 11 x 4 in, self-healing

05 · Being seen
Turn signals, front and rear.
The thing that makes most electric scooters feel unsafe in traffic is that drivers read them as pedestrians. The Apollo Beam throws a vertical eye-level beam visible up to 500 feet out, there are indicators in the stem and the deck so you can signal without taking a hand off the bar, and the rear cluster runs constantly with a brake flash. You will be read as a vehicle, which is the entire point.
- Visibility Up to 500 ft
- Coverage 360 degrees
- Signals Front and rear
Against what you used to ride
Versus a125cc commuter.
Not a litre bike, and not pretending to be. Against the small-displacement commuter most people actually owned, the comparison is closer than it sounds.
| A 125cc commuter | Phantom Stellar | |
|---|---|---|
| Pull from a standstill | Needs revs, and a gear | Near full from zero |
| Top speed | Around this, give or take | 53 mph in Ludo |
| Brakes | Often single-piston at this size | 4-piston hydraulic, 2.3mm rotors |
| Suspension | Preload at best | Rebound and preload, 125mm |
| Fuel | Every week | A wall outlet |
| Routine service | Oil, chain, valves, coolant | Tires and pads |
| Warm-up | Yes, especially cold | None |
| Noise | Everyone hears you leave | Near silent |
| Where it lives | A garage | It folds, and comes inside |
| Paperwork | plates and registration, insurance, motorcycle endorsement | Varies by state, usually far less |
The 125cc commuter column describes the category broadly, not one specific model. Check your own local rules on the last row.
Straight with you
Where it is not a motorcycle.
You have ridden enough to spot a page that only tells you the good half. Here is the rest of it, before you spend $2,699.
-
·You don't lean it like a bike. Eleven inch wheels steer, they don't carve, and the first few corners feel strange coming off anything with real rake.
-
·Those same wheels find potholes a 17 inch wheel would roll straight over. The suspension is good, but physics is physics.
-
·You stand up. Thirty minutes is nothing, two hours is a different kind of tired than a seat and a tank.
-
·Not a highway machine, and in most places not legal on one.
-
·56 miles in Eco, less when you use it properly. That is a good evening, not a tour.
-
·107 lbs. It folds, but it is not something you carry up three flights of stairs.
-
·Where you can legally ride it, and how fast, is set by your state and city. The top modes are intended for private property and closed courses.
If you want one machine for everything including distance, keep the bike. Most people who buy this already know the Stellar replaces a specific slice: the short, frequent, spontaneous rides that the bike had stopped being worth getting out for.

WIREDAn excellent combination of smooth ride and top-tier build quality.
CNETBuild quality is impeccable.
Tom's GuideInsane power, yet incredibly controllable. Built like a tank, but rides like a Rolls. If I had to nitpick, I wish they would integrate a proper motorbike horn rather than a cheap little bicycle bell.
Rónán · Verified buyerBuilt for speed, not for a soft and cushie ride, like a BMW with sport seats vs comfort seats. Pure concentrated fun. It really does allow you to go as fast as you're willing to go.
Leo U. · 1,500 km riddenMost scooters in this power range punch the second you tap the throttle. The Stellar builds speed cleanly instead of trying to rip your arms off. Super stable, really planted.
Dash · Verified buyerThe dual motors provide plenty of torque for hills and quick takeoffs, while the hydraulic brakes inspire confidence at higher speeds. Build quality feels solid and premium.
Clinton V. · Verified buyerAcceleration is insane, and I'm 220lbs. The hydraulic suspension makes the ride buttery smooth and incredibly stable at speed. The 4-piston braking delivers pure confidence.
Bradley R. · Verified buyerFor six years I rode an electric unicycle as my transportation. The Phantom is extremely amazing, very comfortable and very fast. Many people ask me about this form of transportation.

Straight answers
What riders ask first.
Coming off a bike, will this feel slow?
Off the line, no. There is no powerband to wait for, so 0 to 15 mph takes 2.3 seconds and you are gone before a small-displacement bike has picked up revs. Flat out it tops at 53 mph, so if you were riding a 600 it will not replace that feeling at speed. Against the 125cc commuter most people actually commuted on, it holds its own and beats it away from a standstill.
Do I need a licence, registration or insurance?
In most places an electric scooter is not registered or insured the way a motorcycle is, which is a large part of why people make this switch. But the rules are set state and city by state and city, and the Stellar's top speed sits above what many of them classify as an e-scooter, which can change how it is treated. Check your own local regulations before you buy rather than after. The lower modes exist precisely so the machine is usable wherever you are.
What maintenance does it actually need?
Far less than a bike. No oil, no chain, no sprockets, no coolant, no valve clearances. In practice it is tire pressure, brake pads when they wear, and keeping it clean. Owners who have covered serious distance report the main job is tyre pressure every few months. Changing a tubeless tire is genuinely fiddly and worth taking to one of the 60+ certified repair centers.
Is it stable at speed on eleven inch wheels?
More than you would expect, and that is mostly the chassis rather than the wheels. 125mm of adjustable DNM hydraulic suspension, an aerospace-grade aluminum frame, 11x4 inch tires for a wide contact patch, and SmoothRide coordinating throttle, braking and suspension so weight transfer is managed when you brake and corner together. It is not a 17 inch wheel and it never will be, but it is planted rather than nervous.
How does it stop compared to a bike?
Four-piston hydraulic calipers with ceramic pads on 2.3mm rotors, plus regenerative braking on both motors. The regen does almost all the everyday slowing, which means the hydraulics stay cool and are there at full strength when you need them. You have less contact patch than a motorcycle, so leave more room than instinct tells you to for the first few rides.
Can I ride it in the rain?
Yes. IP66 means it is sealed against powerful water jets, and owners report commuting through wet weather without trouble. Ice and packed snow are a hard stop, the same as they are on two wheels. Cold weather also cuts range, as it does on any battery vehicle.
Can I use my existing gear?
Yes, and you should. A full-face or open-face helmet, gloves, and an armoured jacket all work exactly as they do on a bike, and at 53 mph the case for wearing them is the same. Boots matter more than you would think because you are standing, not seated.
I still own a bike. Why would I want this too?
Most owners do not sell the bike. The Stellar takes over the short, frequent, spontaneous rides that were never worth gearing up and warming up for, which is usually most of the miles. The bike then goes back to being the thing you take out on a good Sunday rather than the thing that sits because the errand was only ten minutes.
What range do I actually get?
Up to 56 miles in Eco at a steady pace, from a 60V 30Ah pack using Samsung's highest-discharge cells. Ride it in Sport or Ludo and you will see meaningfully less, because speed costs energy and no battery chemistry argues with that. It charges from an ordinary wall outlet in about ten hours, so most owners charge overnight and stop thinking about it.
Can it be shipped to New York State?
No. The Phantom Stellar has a top speed above 20 mph, so Apollo cannot ship it to addresses in New York State. Every other state is served with free shipping.
Ride responsibly The Apollo Phantom Stellar is designed for adult riders aged 18 and over. 53 mph is achievable in Ludo Mode and is intended for private property and closed courses. Speed limits, helmet rules, licensing, registration, insurance requirements and permitted riding areas for electric scooters vary by state and by municipality, and it is the rider's responsibility to know and follow local law before riding. Always wear a helmet and appropriate protective gear. Performance figures including top speed, acceleration and range vary with rider weight, terrain, temperature, tire pressure and battery charge. Comparisons to combustion motorcycles describe the category in general terms and are illustrative, not a specification match to any particular model. Incorrect assembly, maintenance or use can cause loss of control, serious injury or death. Read the manual before your first ride.
New York State: because the Stellar exceeds 20 mph, Apollo cannot ship it to New York State. Details here.
